The rooms were heated & spotless with a balcony. It had an efficient location.The staff, from domestic to management, were genuinely professional.This hotel met needs well in every way.I highly recommend it for a holiday stay.

We found the whole atmosphere to be good. We liked the restaurant staff greeting us and remembering our names and room numbers. My partner has a mushroom allergy and the staff made a point to tell us, unasked, daily, which food included these. The chambermaid was so efficient as to be unbelievable. The food was good considering the numbers catered for. We did speak to one German guest and was surprised that he did not rate the hotel highly. We were thoroughly pleased with the whole experience and would use the hotel again without hesitation and would certainly recommend it to others. We are a friendly couple and perhaps the staff reflected this.

we were in the off-season, was very pleasant. we originally had a mountain-view room and although we did not check in until 10 o'clock in the evening, we got a free upgrade with a view to the pool and sea without asking - great! room was clean. bathroom is very nice - with bathtub and glass partition. breakfast is very tasty. sparkling wine, different breads, freshly prepared, fruits everything what the heart desires :). we also got a free 10-minute massage -->; was highly recommended. hotel staff is very concerned about their guests. there is a free shuttle to funchal. unfortunately not to the airport, hotel organized a taxi for us, so it worked out great (night price - about 12 euro). since we left in the night, we got a delicious lunch package. we only booked breakfast and ate in the totally delicious tabernacle in the same place at super cheap prices and very tasty food.

You cannot say that the hotel is large and very close to the airport. That didn't bother us personally, because the size of the hotel meant that there was a great variety at breakfast. We didn't notice the planes when the window was closed, but you can hear them when you're sensitive. Santa Cruz is a nice, nice little place. From there you can be in Funchal in about 20 minutes. If you want to explore the whole island, we would recommend hotels in at least 2 different places (1x Santa Cruz and one further north e.g. Porto Moniz or Sao Vincente).

The staff here were friendly and the service provided at the à la carte restaurant for breakfast or dinner was good during my stay for 2 nights.

The hotel is modern and very well maintained. It's restaurants were excellent with a terrific breakfast buffet. It is minutes from the airport, but a long drive from Funchal. We stayed there inorder to be near the airport to catch our ongoing flight.

It is an amazing base for party, has wonderful views over the sea. We had rich and very GOOD breakfasts for all tastes. We had twin room, and it was heated with balcony.

Everithing was paied. To go to the spa, you had to pay, to acess the internet you had to pay. Other hotels in the area are the same price and all is included. As I am traveling in business, unless the hotel chances policy, mainly as internet acess concerns, I will never stay there again.

Cozy room with a lovely view of the ocean 🌊. Perfect location, quite close to the beach, making it super convenient.

wonderful views of the sea, clean, well equipped rooms, air conditioned, excellent outside pool, breakast fresh fruit salads. Good internet connection and you can book shorter times in your room i.e 1hr for €3, staff very courtious and friendly.

Not a fan of buffet dinners every night and there's not much else locally for eating out in the evening. No evening entertainment but this could be as it was end of Sept that we went.

Your best asset is your staff. They were unfailingly polite, helpful and friendly. Everything I asked for was obtained. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even to the extent that the receptionist telephoned a number of shops to find something I needed.

There was nothing not to like. We have been before and we will come again. Some may criticise the occasional airplane flyover but this was no bother to us.

The staff were genuinely professional and extremely helpful from domestic to management. Our twin room was bright and the bathroom was lovely, with great amenities such as shower facilities, a hair dryer, and bath sheets.
